The way to Seattle

I only vaguely remember the road from Sunnyvale to Seattle. On the way out of Sunnyville I texted Liat and Mickey, and I do not think I even saw the drop to I-237 …

I was sitting in the back with one of the child probably Yoav, because at some point I remember I had a cramp in my foot and I asked him to give me a massage – he has Zeevik’s gift in working charms over my feet and back ….

I slept a lot, almost all the way to the hotel. We drove 9 hours, training the “travel muscle” for the next 6 weeks. Barak and Ella heard “Apollo Trials” the fourth book in Percy Jackson’s third series, Kfir listened with headphones to the second book in the Foundation  series and Yoav listened to Oatbringer, the 4th book in the searies of the Stormlight Archive (if you are a fan of Sci-Fi, start reading Brnadon Snadarson’s books, you’ll thank me in about 15,000 pages 🙂 )

We stopped on the way to eat. Why do I mention that we ate halfway between the nothing and nowhere? Because we ate at a Mongolian restaurant. For those who do not know – in a Mongolian restaurant, you fill a bowl with meats, noodles, vegetables, sauces and give to a man standing next to a huge plancha, and he fries.your food.on the Plancha. We all ate there, except for Ella who had sushi. Why am I telling this ?? Because our kids, who eat pizza without sauce and pasta on white sauce, but on the side – ALL ate it and asked us to come back to this restaurant!

Zeevik drove, and drove and drove, and at some point asked me to switch with him. Between back pain. leg pain and fatigue that has not yet subsided, I barely drove for half an hour. Luckily, one of the kids had to go to the bathroom … for Zeevik, half hour of power nap is exactly what he needs to stay awake until 3am…

.We arrived at the hotel around 1:00am. I went to bed with the jeans, Barak and Ella. I have no idea what happened during the night. I slept well and still did not fill the quota of sleeping hours that I lack.

We got up slowly in the morning. How slow? Zeevik, Barak and Ella went downstairs, ate breakfast and came back – and we are still sleeping …

We ate brunch at the kids’ favorite place (and the place I hate the.most) – Dennis. I stopped at a place of salads and soups and took a salad and zucchini soup.

We continued our journey. Only 4 hours to Seattle, but it felt longer than the day before, although think I also slept most of this day (recurring motif ….)

We arrived at the hotel in the airport area around 6pm. We brought up bags and suitcases and went out to dinner. For the first time in our lives we ate at Applebee’s. I do not have too much to say about this place. Better than Dennis’ , not as good as any other place. But that’s exactly what we needed.

I dropped Zeevik and the kids at the hotel to take a shower and go to sleep. I drove to the nearest Safeway to buy food for the day after. When you get up at 3am, fly for about 3 hours and get the RV – the chances of eating properly are very small. So we got organized in advance

.I went back to the room, the children were already in bed, I fell asleep for an hour with Barak and Ella. At 12:30am, Zeevik packed  bags and I made sandwiches.

1:00am – Zeevik went to bed and I stayed to order food at Walmart Anchorage, to fill the RV with everything you need, food, detergent and more

1:30am – we’re all asleep. Another hour and a half will wake up and fly to Alaska
